The small print, in plain English
This page summarises how working with me goes, in words you can read on a phone.
Builds — the terms that matter
- Fixed prices. The price on the pricing page is the price for the package described. Anything outside the package is quoted first and only done with your OK.
- Payments. Builds: 50% deposit, 50% on launch day, by card. Invoices are on 14-day terms.
- Revision rounds. Market Stall includes 1 round; Shopfront and Sell Online include 2. A round is one set of changes you ask for in one go. Further rounds are £45/hour, agreed with you first.
- Content updates (care plans). Up to 30 minutes changing existing text, images, prices, opening hours or events on pages that already exist. Not included: new pages, new features, design changes, product data entry beyond the e-commerce add-on, or anything requiring a quote. Unused updates don't roll over.
- After a build. Every build includes 3 months of Essential care free; after that a paid care plan is required to keep the site on my hosting.
- Audit refund. The £99 takeover audit is refunded in full against any care plan (first 3 months) or a build of £500 or more. It is not refunded against Market Stall builds (£395 / launch-offer £295).
- Third-party costs. No platform fees on any build. Where a genuine third-party cost exists (business email, or a platform you choose to stay on), it's passed through at cost, as a separate line — never marked up.
- VAT. No VAT is added at these prices.
- Price reviews. Plan prices are reviewed at most once a year, with at least 30 days' notice.
- Late payment. Statutory interest and fixed compensation apply under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998. This is rarely relevant — top-ups are always priced and agreed with you first.
Response times
Published reply times are aims, not guarantees of instant fixes: Essential — 2 working days; Growth — 1 working day; Complete — same working day. I don't promise resolution times, because I won't promise what I can't control — I'll always tell you honestly how long something will take and keep you posted.
Privacy note (GDPR)
Short version: I collect what you give me — usually your name, business name and contact details — to reply to you and, if you become a client, to run your site and your plan. I don't send marketing, I don't run advertising trackers, and I don't sell or share your details. Payments are processed by Stripe; this site is hosted on Vercel. The contact form is protected against spam bots and nothing you type is used for anything except replying to you.
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask me to delete it — by email or phone, any time.

Until the PDFs are attached, this page is the statement of how I work. If anything here is unclear, ask me — I'd rather explain it twice than have you guess.
